Based in Hervey Bay Queensland, Wide Bay Water Corporation is owned by the Fraser Coast Regional Council and provides water and wastewater services to the Fraser Coast. The Corporation is staffed by over 200 people and includes an onsite NATA accredited laboratory, a dedicated environmental services team, an inhouse engineering team, a waterpark and an award winning reuse scheme that includes the irrigation of more than 500 hectares of hardwood tree plantations
Achievements
- Designed and commissioned a Visitor's Centre for the newly constructed Burgowan Water Treatment Plant
- Worked with Executive Management, Fraser Coast Regional Council and Argo Architects to successfully secure funding from the Queensland Government to deliver the WetSide Water Education Park
- Worked with Executive Management, Cardno (Hervey Bay) and Argo Architects on the concept and design of the WetSide Water Education Park
Responsibilities
- Worked closely with external media outlets, public relations consultants and other service providers to maintain the Corporation's professional image
- Ensured design styles and brand guidelines were adhered to, both internally and by external third parties
- Coordinated media requirements, press releases and official statements for the organisation
- Management and design of all corporate materials, magazines and advertisements
- Wrote and directed several television commercials (TVC) promoting key waterwise messages
- Implementation of waterwise and Water Restriction campaigns
- Digital photography and Image Library management
- Preparation, coordination and delivery of the Quarterly and Annual Reports
- Annual preparation and delivery of the Corporate Governance Charter
- Arranged and prepared activities in conjunction with the Environmental Services department to promote the Corporation and generate publicity within the local community.
Activities included:
– Tree planting for World Environment Day
– Water Smart in the Park for National Water Week with participants from 11 local primary schools (approximately 1,000 children per event) - Corporate branding for all sponsorship events and Corporation team activities
Fiona is a dedicated professional with a keen focus on client satisfaction. I have relied on Fiona during my time at Wide Bay Water to develop and publish marketing materials for the water loss group for projects in Australia and Overseas. In addition to her expertise in using different graphic software packages, she has superb client relationship skills which see her as a good asset in any organisation.

Achievements
- Established ‘Your Water Campaign’ for the Fraser Coast to conserve the limited water supply. Even in a highly populated tourist area, the campaign was so effective we often received water restriction enquiries from Brisbane, Cairns and even as far south as Sydney which were not part of our catchment zone
