With the new brand mark revealed, the next step in the rebrand and improved customer experience journey was the roll out of the VicWater corporate website.

The site has two components – the public facing, general organisation hub and the restricted area for VicWater Members only.

The new website was completely rebuilt from the ground up. New additions included a water industry Jobs Board for senior executive and hard to fill vacancies on offer by members and a News page for industry related bulletins. Other improvements include accessibility compliance, improved navigation, VicWater industry publications and refreshed content. The restricted Members area has also had a complete overhaul. The Governance portals offer our water authority Managing Directors, Chairs and Directors their own self contained sub sites, loaded with relevant information from upcoming and past Forums, articles and presentations. Access is controlled via member protocols in the back-end, which can be adjusted by the site administrators. I have also created dynamic content for our various working and task groups, to ensure the content served is relevant to the viewers.

VicWater home

The home page was completely redesigned. You can navigate the site from the blue menu bar ribbon at the top of the page.

Some of the new features in this menu bar include the Jobs and News pages.

VicWater Jobs Board

To add value for Members I added a jobs board, to advertise senior roles for VicWater member organisations free of charge. To add a listing you users need to be logged in as a member, and click the button “Add a job listing”.

The Jobs Board has performed extremely well each time it is promoted on the VicWater LinkedIn and Twitter channels. LinkedIn in particular has driven thousands of click throughs since the new website launched in March 2020.

Members Only Area

The restricted Members zone was completely redesigned for quick and easy navigation. The members landing page offers users a dashboard for popular sections and additional content. Logged In members also unlock additional menus and features depending on access level.

The Governance area contains additional content for selected users. All members can see the Governance page, however the buttons require to unlock additional areas are only visible to the appropriate audiences. No additional passwords are needed, the access is managed in the back end and can be updated at any time by site administrators.
